Push-To-Talk Radio Extension

$160.00

Our Push-To-Talk (PTT) Radio Extension product is a game changer for communicating while flying. With the PTT Button attached to your rear-riser, in your immediate line of sight, you no longer have to let go of the brakes or collect the brakes, to talk. Whether you are at 10,000 feet thermaling in active air or in the bottom 1/3 of the sky looking for clues of lifts on the ground, you can now maintain your focus on flying and still let your friends know what’s going on with you. This could be critically useful if you are getting low and starting to venture in a tricky or possibly inaccessible spot with a risk of getting out of radio communication range.

Over the years, we have tried a lot of radios and PTT systems available on the market, including helmet mounted systems, and found that none of them really worked for us, and often resulted in frustrating flights because of issues related to radios or radio communication while in flight.

We have a passion for product design and engineering, so we decided to tackle the problem and design our own system specifically for paragliding.

The key differentiator of our system is the rugged custom designed PTT Extension Cord unit that mounts on your riser and is connected to the shoulder mounted Speaker-Mic unit. It is extremely easy to attach, detach and adjust the position of the PTT Button on the riser, even while in flight.

The shoulder strap mounted Speaker-Mic unit provides the best of both worlds: it is close to your ears and mouth to communicate and it is not inside your ears or helmet when these extremely annoying radio interferences start screeching through the radio.

We procure and use standard and proven components to manufacture our system for different radio types and we test each system in our lab in Oregon before shipping it to you.

Our initial goal was to have a better system for ourselves, but friends and fellow pilots who saw and tested it called our system a “Game Changer”. This lead us to want to productize the concept and make it available to more fellow pilots who had experienced the same challenges. We improved the initial design with simplicity and safety in mind considering the needs of beginner to professional pilots. While professionals have mastered multi-tasking while in flight, beginners, intermediates and even advanced pilots will probably see the most benefits from our system.
